The Kings Dominion Halloween Haunt is back and bigger and better than ever before. With a total of eight mazes and five scare zones, terror stands around every corner.
“It is a frightening experience and it keeps you on your toes. It really gets you into the Halloween spirit,” ninth grader Kyle Daniels said.
Junior Brendan Shepherd is working at the haunt as an employee. He is passionate about working there because he had a great time when he visited as a guest, and he was eager to go back.
“I wanted to work there because it is cool experience and some of my close friends applied, and it would be a fun job,” Shepherd said.
It is a frightening journey finding the way through each maze. One never knows what is lurking beside him. It is an event held by Kings Dominion lasting until October 31. With Halloween just around the corner, Halloween Haunt brings out the fright in one.
However, Kings Dominion is not the only local theme park offering this type of event. Busch Gardens Williamsburg offers “Howl O’ Scream.” It is the same idea of Halloween haunt, but Busch Gardens gave it their own “twist.” Instead of the maze format that Kings Dominion has, Busch Gardens is more of a themed haunted house style. Howl O’ Scream will end on October 29.
When the sun goes down, the Halloween spirit will come to life with creatures stalking every move at Kings Dominion’s Halloween Haunt and Busch Gardens Howl O’ Scream. Who can survive?
