The community is excited to have Ms. Anne-Claire Murray on board. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 and majored in mathematics. Ms. Murray previously taught Geometry at Holman Middle School for four years. She currently teaches math analysis, along with algebra, functions, and data functions.
Ms. Murray had actually attended Deep Run when she was in high school, so she decided to return as a teacher. “I knew I wanted to come back to a great school with amazing teachers and students!” Ms. Murray said.
She is impressed by the school’s various activities. Ms. Murray had actually been a member of the soccer team during her time at this school. She was also part of the field hockey team and was the team captain during her senior year.
“My favorite thing about Deep Run is all of the student’s awesome school spirit and involvement in the school.” Ms. Murray said.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending her time in a variety of activities.
“When I am not at school, I like to spend time with family and friends, go somewhere by the water, go for a run, or just go exploring in the city of Richmond,” Ms. Murray said.
Ms. Murray is excited for her upcoming experiences as a high school teacher from the same school she graduated.
