University of Alabama

Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the University of Alabama has the 15th most beautiful campus in the country, according to Best Colleges Online. Alabama has an acceptance rate of 83 percent. The University of Alabama is not as selective compared to the national university acceptance averages, but the school does tend to attract students who are interested in following the school’s major athletic teams and sports. The university’s  football team has won 15 NCAA titles. Many players who have played for the university have moved onto the NFL.

The college is also known for its socialization and Greek life, part of what attracts junior Ella Shields, who names the University of Alabama as her dream school.

“I just want to go there because it seems fun, and for the campus life,” Shields said.

Shields also expressed her interest in joining a sorority. The University of Alabama has over 24 sorority houses, and over 39 fraternities. A large percentage of the college’s population is involved in Greek life.
