After the overwhelming love and support “Murder Mystery” received when initially released in 2019, producers were determined not to leave fans empty-handed.  The producers promised a sequel, much to the delight of those who adored the original. On March 31, 2023, “Murder Mystery 2” was released on Netflix, co-starring fan favorites: Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. This lighthearted sequel comes with plenty of laughs and thrills. The film, directed by Kyle Newacheck, follows a New York City cop, Nick Spitz (Sandler), and his wife, Audrey (Aniston), as they embark on a much-needed vacation to Europe.

However, their plans for a romantic getaway are interrupted when they, yet again, become entangled in a murder investigation on a billionaire’s yacht. The suspects are numerous, along with the plot twists, as the couple once more races to uncover the killer before they strike again.

The film’s setting in Europe captured stunning shots of the Mediterranean area along with European city life and the Eiffel Tower. The choice of scenery was a great addition to the story as it incorporated a beautiful backdrop for the action.

While the film may not be as thought-provoking as other murder mysteries, it delivers on its promise of entertainment and laughs. If you enjoyed “Murder Mystery,” you are sure to enjoy “Murder Mystery 2,” as it is around the same premise. The film is perfect for fans of both Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, as well as those who enjoy a good old-fashioned whodunit.
