The newest season of the Netflix reality TV show “Love is Blind” is full of romance, drama, and suspense. The show consists of 30 eligible singles who are thrown into a pod that allows them to interact with each other without meeting face-to-face.
Season 5 ended with no lasting relationships, and seemed to be the end of the reality show. However, Season 6 has sparked new excitement and interest in the show.
The drama unfolds almost immediately, focusing more on the conflicts going on between participants instead of the development of any romantic feelings. Throughout the season, viewers are witness to multiple red flags in the developing relationships, yet the contestants continue to ignore these warning signs.
The show is a mess. With one contestant claiming to be a Megan Fox lookalike and another contestant who was actively cheating on his fiance by appearing on the show, the newest season stands out from all others.
The couples on the show only have 38 days to get to know each other and then decide if they will get engaged and married. It seems unlikely that anyone can be expected to marry someone they have never met before, but additionally, someone who they have only known for a little over a month.
The couples are only allowed to see each other if they end up engaged. Unsurprisingly, not many contestants end up married by the final episode. The events of this season seem to contradict the title of the show, proving that love is not blind.
Despite all of this, the show is entertaining and a good watch, providing amusing content with all the silly drama. It’s just not the right show if you’re looking for romantic inspiration.
