Short Pump is gearing up for a wave of new retail and dining options set to open in the coming months, enhancing the vibrant community atmosphere of the area. Among the highly anticipated arrivals are Shake Shack, Turning Point, a new LEGO store, and popular sushi fusion restaurant Lucky AF.
Shake Shack, the New York-based burger chain, is opening its third Richmond-area location at West Village, a mixed-use development at 12170 W. Broad St. Known for its signature burgers, shakes, and crinkle-cut fries, Shake Shack is expected to draw many crowds excited for its classic American food in a modern, casual setting.
Adding to the culinary scene, Lucky AF, a sushi fusion restaurant originally located in Scott’s Addition, will open its Short Pump location in the former Baker’s Crust space. The restaurant is celebrated for its creative sushi rolls and vibrant flavors; they offer a fresh dining experience for both locals and visitors. Baker’s Crust closed permanently after its lease ended, making way for Lucky AF’s arrival early 2026.
Despite the fact that the only LEGO manufacturing company in the US is in Virginia, the Richmond area has been lacking a real LEGO store outside of local shops, Bricks and Minifigs. Lego lovers have been forced to make the trek to Virginia Beach or Northern Virginia. That all changes soon with the new LEGO store set to open in the former Fink’s space at Short Pump Town Center, further expanding the company’s retail footprint in Virginia. This store will offer a wide range of LEGO sets and interactive experiences, making it a perfect destination for children and collectors.
Lastly, Turning Point, a breakfast-focused restaurant chain known for its hearty and innovative morning dishes, just joined the Short Pump dining lineup after opening back in July. This addition will provide residents with a new spot to enjoy breakfast and brunch favorites in a welcoming atmosphere.
With all these new additions to Short Pump, it will inevitably become a more dynamic community hub.
